Sediqullah Atal, also called Sediq Atal, is an Afghan cricket player who was born on August 12, 2001. In 2023, he made his debut for Afghanistan as an opening batsman.

On September 7, 2020, he played his first Twenty20 match for Kabul Eagles in the 2020 Shpageeza Cricket League. He was included in Afghanistan’s Twenty20 tournament team before making his Twenty20 debut.

Sediqullah was included in Afghanistan’s one-day international (ODI) team for their series against Pakistan in July 2021 [6], however the series was subsequently postponed when Afghanistan was taken over. The series was rescheduled for January 23, 2023, and both cricket boards decided to play three Twenty20 international matches rather than ODIs. Sediqullah was once again included in Afghanistan’s roster. On March 27, 2023, he made his T20I debut in the series’ third and last T20I encounter.

He was included in the Afghan team for the Sediqullah Atal tournament in May 2024. 

Sediqullah Atal represented Afghanistan A in the ACC Emerging Team Asia Cup in October 2024, where he scored 368 runs in 5 games to win the tournament’s player award. At an incredible batting average of 122.66 and strike rate of 145, he scored 83, 95, 52, 83, and 55. With this outstanding performance, he became the top run scorer on the board and guided Afghanistan A to their first-ever ACC Asia Cup trophy victory.
