ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub Khan has warned on Wednesday that there will be no negotiations if commissions are not formed on the incidents of May 9 and November 26.
Speaking to the media outside the Parliament House along with PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and other legislators, he said that the conspiracy hatched against Al-Zadri University was a silly drama due to which the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi were harmed. Imprisonment is currently a pressure on the judiciary.
He claimed that the ‘Form 47 government’ did not have the courage to face the opposition in the House. Umar said that the opposition protested so fiercely in the National Assembly that Shahbaz Sharif could not muster the courage to speak.
Expressing his regret, he said that many days have passed since the third round of talks, but this Form 47 government could not arrange our meeting with our leader Imran Khan despite the promise. He alleged that PPP and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were shedding crocodile tears over information technology and said that PPP’s duplicity was revealed when it defeated PML-N and MQM on the Digital Nation Pakistan Bill. Voted.
Speaking on this occasion, Barrister Gauhar asked how many hours and days the session of the National Assembly continued. This is the shortest time he has taken to complete the session this year. 89 days have passed today. Only 37 pieces of legislation were passed during this period, of which 29 were government bills and the rest were private members’ bills.
Meanwhile, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram condemned Imran Khan’s corruption and relentless campaign against his wife, Bushra Bibi. He vowed that notorious elements bent on harming Khan and his mission would not succeed in their nefarious intentions.
In a statement, Akram slammed the miscreants for their continuous attacks on the PTI founder chairman’s family and categorically said that ‘enough is enough’ because of their social media activities and venom against Khan’s family. This propaganda has seriously hurt the sentiments of Pakistanis. He described the attack on Bushra Bibi as reprehensible, adding that such baseless and hurtful allegations will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
However, PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat said that those who voted for the 26th Amendment should look at the situation of the Supreme Court. Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, Marwat said that if a bench files a case, the next day it becomes contempt of court. Our first demand should be the release of political prisoners, and the second should be a judicial commission.
Marwat said that the law minister should save this opportunity for “Mian Sahibs” when the justice system is restored and cases against them are restored. If negotiations fail, we will be on the streets. They have come to power falsely so that they can loot,” he claimed.
On the other hand, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, spokesperson of the government negotiation committee, said that a written reply will be given to Tehreek-e-Insaf on January 28.
Speaking to The News after the subcommittee meeting in the Speaker’s Chamber at the Parliament House, he said that no decision has been taken yet on the formation of the Judicial Commission on the PTI’s demand. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar participated in the meeting. Prime Minister for Law Nazir Tarar, Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Adviser to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Ijazul Haque, Khalid Magsi, and Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources Minister Chaudhry Salik attended the meeting.
Speaking to The News, Siddiqui said that he has to tell the Speaker that the government’s response will be ready by January 27 and the Speaker can call for the He hopes that PTI will attend the meeting. There will be no more excuses in the fourth round.
Talking to the media, committee member Ejazul Haque said that there was a detailed discussion on PTI’s demands and legal matters were also looked into, but no response has been prepared yet.
