After misreading a carrom ball from AM Ghazanfar, Dion Myers managed to get a few drives away but was stuck in front of the wickets. In the ninth over, Omarzai dismissed Curran as he attempted a dazzling drive but was caught by the wicketkeeper with a thick outside edge. Sean Williams was the next to leave after three balls. He got a thick edge to Ikram Alikhil after hanging his bat out to a ball of greater length from Omarzai.

When the rain started two balls into the ninth over, the game was ended because the floodlights had been turned on from the beginning. Omarzai made an impression even during his brief outburst, taking 4 for 18 from his four overs.
